Sinks And Faucets

We offer a large number of options in top quality sinks ranging from 16 –18 gauge stainless steel. We also offer a variety of faucet options. Other composite sinks are available from several vendors at a discounted rate if you purchase your countertops from us. If you wish to get your own sink and faucet, please let us know before you purchase them. There are some do's and don’ts that you need to be aware of. We need to be sure that the size and set up that you choose will work with the stone design that you are planning.

When picking an under mount sink, remember that the sink has to fit inside your base cabinet.
(With Formica counters, it is just the bowl that goes inside the base cabinet.

The other restriction with under mount sinks is related to how big your bowl is in relationship to the width of your countertop. You have to have 4” in the front and 3” in the back of uninterrupted stone. With a large bowl, small bowl combination, there is a little leeway with this, but not much.

With two equal bowls or one bowl, things change as you can see from the above diagram.
If the faucet has to go behind the large bowl, then we need to have more stone in the back. With a D Shaped sink, the holes must go off to the sides. These are the general guidelines to consider. Some adjustments are possible.

Top mount sinks often require a very large cut-out.
If this is the case, we need to install strips of stone in the front and back of the sink. This often means that we then do need to create a seam in a different part of the counter.

There are ways of bending the rules a little on sink size requirements.
Sometimes you can cut the side walls of your cabinet out to pick up that extra 1 or 2 inch. It doesn’t look pretty but once the stone is on top of your cabinets it can’t be seen.
